Moses Alvarez L.Ac., RN

Clinic Director

As a NCCAOM-certified professional, I can help you transform your vitality and your life for the better. I can help you look and feel your best. And I can help you enjoy yourself along the way.

My career began when my father taught me how to lift weights at an early age. He was a proponent of Charles Atlas Calisthenics Methods, which later sparked my passion for fitness and bodybuilding. I dreamed of owning my own Gold’s or World Gym and managed several spas and fitness centers before applying for medical school. In my search, I found interest in the mystique of the holistic arts due to my background in martial arts. It’s when I discovered acupuncture while reading a book on a shelf titled “Careers in Alternative Medicine.” After enrolling in an acupuncture college in lower Manhattan, became part of the fifth graduating class under 88th Generation Daoist Priest Jeffery C. Yuen, CH.

As my career continued, I noticed a trend in pain conditions while treating local farmers, athletes and highway workers. My continued search for education leads me to Dry Needling, Soft Tissue Mobilization, and advancing my electro-acupuncture training under Dr. Anthony Lombardi, DC, of Ontario, Canada. Today, my specialty focuses on EXSTORE, a proven method to assessing and restoring muscle dysfunction. I feel truly honored to serve and change people’s lives and look forward to doing the same for you!

Caleb Smith

Corrective Exercise Specialist

With a background and degree in exercise science and allied health, I look forward to cultivating
movement efficiency and balance within your musculoskeletal system. I want to help you avoid
pain around joints caused by muscle weakness, imbalance, or inefficiency by restoring
appropriate muscle strength, balance, and flexibility.

Living almost my entire life with a chronic health condition, I was always interested in pursuing
a career in health and wellness. I obtained a degree from Messiah University in Applied Health
Science where I learned how beneficial exercise and activity can be for one’s health. My
original plan was to become a physician assistant; however, I was granted an opportunity to
work in the corporate wellness domain by teaching and promoting preventive health. Working
for Healthy Is Wellness under the direction of Nich Pertuit, PhD, we leveraged the right amount
of technology and personalized health coaching to remove barriers of someone achieving
desired health goals. From that I built a passion for health education and providing the public
with opportunities to proactively improve their health rather than traditional reactive medical
practice.

In response, I desired to further my education on the body and the way it performs, prompting
me to begin a master’s degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology through the University of
Florida. That program has not only taught me proper strength and conditioning practices, but
also corrective exercise programming to “fine-tune” the body. My goal is to draw on that
knowledge to restore balance within one’s body and create holistic wellness by removing
triggers of the potential formation of pain.
